Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about working with me
Sessions & Services
What types of sessions do you offer?
I offer application reviews, interview preparation, career strategy sessions, and exam preparation guidance for high school students, medical students, and junior doctors. View all services for details.
How are sessions conducted?
All sessions are conducted via video call (Zoom). After booking, you'll receive a calendar invite with the meeting link. Following our session, I'll send you a written summary of what we discussed along with clear action points—typically within 24-48 hours.
Do I need to prepare anything before our session?
You'll receive a pre-session questionnaire after booking to help me understand your situation and goals. For application reviews, you'll also upload your materials (CV, personal statement, etc.) for me to review in advance.
Scheduling & Logistics
What time zones do you work with?
I'm based in Oxford (GMT/BST) but offer flexible scheduling for international students. Sessions are available on weekdays and some weekends to accommodate different time zones.
How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks ahead for best availability, especially during peak application seasons (September-November). However, I can sometimes accommodate urgent requests—just email me.
What's your cancellation policy?
Full refunds are available up to 48 hours before your scheduled session. Reschedules require at least 24 hours notice—just email me to arrange a new time.
Exams & Applications
Which exams do you help with?
I help with USMLE Steps 1 & 2, MSRA, SJT, MRCS Part 1, and medical school finals. I've personally completed USMLE and UK exams, so I understand what works. If you're preparing for a different exam, email me to discuss.
Do you help with US and UK applications?
Yes. I've navigated both systems personally—USMLE, US residency interviews, UK Foundation Training, and UK specialty applications. I can help with either pathway or both.
Results & Expectations
Do you guarantee I'll get into my chosen program?
No one can guarantee admissions outcomes. What I offer is expert guidance, honest feedback, and current strategies that worked for me and others. Your results depend on your application, interview performance, and competition that year.
How quickly will I receive feedback?
For application reviews and interview prep, you'll receive written feedback within 24 hours of our session. Career strategy and exam prep action plans arrive within 48 hours.
